Be careful when dealing with companies who bought your debt

Bankruptcy Attorney E. Kent Winward penned a great article for his local paper. In it, he gives a rough sketch on how a company people may not be familiar with may come to collect on a credit card, and what that can mean for consumers. Not only does it give consumers more rights, but it may give them more options to settle as well. The best advice comes at the end:

“Debt is tenacious. If you are in financial trouble, get quality advice.”
